Q: When does the season start?
The inaugural UPSHOT season tips off on May 15, 2026 and runs through September. Post-season details will be announced closer to playoffs.
Q: Where are the teams located?
Our Founding Four: Jacksonville Waves, Savannah Steel, Charlotte Crown, and Greensboro Groove.
Q: Who can become an UPSHOT athlete?
We’re looking for players with basketball experience beyond high school — collegiate, semi-pro, or professional. If you’ve got game, we want to see it.
Q: Will UPSHOT athletes be paid?
Yes. UPSHOT athletes will be compensated. Beyond pay, our commitment is to build careers and community impact that last far beyond the court.
Q: What kind of support will athletes receive?
UPSHOT athletes will train in world-class arenas, work with top coaches, and access resources to prepare for life after basketball — from leadership opportunities to community engagement programs.
